Here Is How to connect Sony Subwoofer to Sony Soundbar

The following is a guide for connecting the subwoofer to HT-A7000 or HT-A9 soundbar.

  1. To start, get the soundbar remote control supplied with the compatible model HT-A7000 or HT-A9 and make sure the power cord is connected correctly.
  2. Press the HOME button and wait for the home menu to appear on the TV screen.
  3. Next, select [Setup] and then [Advanced Settings] on the home menu.
  4. Then select [Speaker Settings] – [Wireless Speaker Settings] – [Start manual linking]. The [Start manual linking] screen will then appear on your TV screen.
  5. Then on the subwoofer press the LINK button, the power indicator light on the subwoofer that had LINK pressed will begin to flash green twice repeatedly.
  6. Choose [Start] and then the manual connection will begin to start. You will see the connection process appear on the TV screen and at this point if you want to cancel select [Cancel].
  7. When the subwoofer display says [Connected], select [Finish] and press (enter). The subwoofer manual connection is now established and a green light on the subwoofer power light will be shown. You should now hear sound from the subwoofer.

Things to note when connecting the subwoofer to the soundbar:

  • If you perform [Start manual linking], [Link mode] of [Wireless Speaker Settings] is automatically set to [Manual].
  • Only the speakers where [Connected] has been shown will be connected to the compatible model. If not connected successfully, return to the first step to connect the subwoofer to the soundbar.
