Sony wireless subwoofer not turning on?

No problem, try the following to fix the issue:

  1. Disconnect the AC power cord on the subwoofer, then reconnect it after one minute.
  2. Ensure the mains lead AC power cord is connected properly on the subwoofer.
  3. Ensure the subwoofer power cord has a secure connection to a working outlet. If using a power strip or surge protector connected to the power cord, then plug it in directly to the wall.
  4. Turn the power on by pressing the (power) button on the subwoofer.
  5. Check whether the holes for ventilation on the subwoofer are not blocked.

Why is no sound coming out of the wireless subwoofer?

If you aren’t getting any sound from your Sony wireless subwoofer, try this to fix the problem:

  • Make sure the wireless subwoofer is turned on correctly. You can tell if it is on by the LED indicator light lit or flashing. This will mean the power is ON.
  • Use the remote control to turn up the volume from the subwoofer. Pressing the + (subwoofer volume) button or BASS button on the control will turn the volume up on the subwoofer. The name of the button may vary depending on the model of subwoofer.
  • Take a look at the subwoofer LED indicator status:
  1. When red, the connection between the subwoofer and the soundbar speaker isn’t correct or complete. The settings will need to be set again and devices re-connected.
  2. When green or orange and flashes slowly, then turns red after 10 seconds or longer, the problem is likely an interference. Make sure there are no obstacles between the speaker and wireless subwoofer. These can include walls, furniture or objects which are directly between the subwoofer and speaker.
  • Turn off the subwoofer, disconnecting the power cord. Wait on e minute and then reconnect it. Once you’ve turned the subwoofer back on set the link settings again between the wireless subwoofer and soundbar.
  • Finally if you still haven’t resolved the sound problem, try resetting the speaker and follow the Easy setup guide and set the subwoofer and soundbar links again.
